The Solution
The website redesign for Shand needed to centre around users and how they purchase bikes online. We started off with an online questionnaire distributed to the cycling community, with over 60 responses internationally we set to work on creating user scenarios. Starting with user data helped to identify the routes to sale and how to categorise the products knowing full well Shand benefits from great brand awareness in their niche market.
Blogging and content was an important part of the brief as well as having flexibility with content types and products. We chose WordPress for the CMS with WooCommerce, keeping a custom design for the front end. The new website provides end to end ordering for custom products, custom finishes, accessories and colours. Online payments give customers the option for deposit payments and full payments as well as being integrated with Instagram feeds and MailChimp for newsletters.
