The UK Sepsis Trust is on a mission to raise public awareness, fundraise and provide support to those affected by this silent killer. Our brief was to create a new website that supported their work, showcased the charity’s brand messages clearly and allowed the varying user groups to find relevant information quickly and easily.
We started the project by having a workshop to dive into the key audiences, identify their different needs and design a user journey for each. Our initial concept designs took us down ways of asking the user a question about sepsis which led to the current design enabling the user to self-select and their reason for visiting the site.
Throughout the design, which is fully mobile responsive, we have editable panels and calls to action. This is a fast-moving organisation, we needed to give them the flexibility and space to promote different fundraising events, campaigns and specials.
The website is built on Wordpress and we’ve incorporated an online shop to enable the charity to sell their products directly to visitors. This is fully integrated with stock level management, notifications and their payment gateway, Stripe.
